Billing policy
Doctor at Home is a mixed billing online medical practice; we provide bulk billing services for all the Medicare card holder(unless you have never seen anyone of our doctor before, in that case, we can not provide you tele-consultation). All patients please provide us a current Medicare card at the time of consultation and if you have Health Care Card, pension or Veterans’ Affairs card, you should also produce a current one of those. If you don’t produce a current Medicare card, we cannot provide bulk billing services. If your card is not available (missing or stolen), a consultation fee (equal to the Medicare rebate) will be charged at the time of consultation and can be claimed back from Medicare later by you.
Private billing
Fee structure is available at our website. Alternatively, you can contact us via email info@doctorathome.com.au.
If you are seeing any of the doctors with private billing, you are required to make a full payment for your consultation fee after finishing consultation. The consultation fee is variable, depending on the consultation length, complexity and treatments given.
Payment is expected at the end of each consultation. If payment cannot be made at the time of consultation, your account will incur an administration fee of $15.
Please discuss your billings with your treating doctor during the consultation.
